Self Inquiry - Discover Ultimate Peace

What Is Self Inquiry?
Self inquiry (or enquiry) is often called the pathless path. This is because it doesn't require you to attain any knowledge, develop any skill, learn any mantras, memorize scriptures, etc. Maybe you follow religion, maybe not; it doesn't matter. This is not a religion or a belief system. It simply means to look; in order to know yourself beyond assumptions, past conditioning, and labels.
Self inquiry is like a mirror for the Truth. It makes no difference if you come to the inquiry through a search to find out the secrets of life, are seeking to awaken, or are searching for the truth about God. Whether you identify as atheist, Wiccan, Jewish, Christian, Hindu, agnostic, Buddhist, Muslim, spiritual, etc; approach self inquiry in sincerity, and the Truth cannot be hidden from you.
If the direct seeing that self inquiry points to is experienced -- understood beyond intellectual understanding of the concepts being presented and exposed -- then you will undoubtedly see the resolution to any problem you can imagine.
Do you want to know how to begin? Below is a video of Mooji, who facilitates the inquiry flawlessly. As he asks the questions, take the time to look for the answers within yourself as though you are the one he is speaking to.

Important: The inquiry is not intellectual. The mind, which consists of conditioned responses, does not have the answers. The truth is beyond mind, beyond analysis. Don't visualize or imagine. Don't go to memory to construct an answer.
How can you see directly if you are wrapped up in past or future projections?
Simply be here as you are, and "keep the question alive" to see the Truth.
If you feel like you're having trouble staying present long enough to see beyond the mind's influence, click here for the quickest way to rise above that. In fact, it would be highly advantageous of you to do this simple meditation before each deliberate inquiry.
In the video below, Mooji starts out by guiding you into the inquiry using an angle I call stepping out of time.

If you don't feel immediate results from self inquiry, it's okay. Don't give up. The uncovering that is taking place behind the scenes will gradually -- or perhaps abruptly -- rise up and consume all confusion and doubt. You won't fail at this; it's not a test. Even if you begin to notice feelings of calm and euphoria, don't stop there. Keep going.
"If one watches whence the notion 'I' arises, the mind gets absorbed there... When a mantra is repeated, if one watches whence that mantra sound arises, the mind gets absorbed there..."
- Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi
Invite the inquiry to move in with you. Over time, the questioning will come spontaneously as opposed to being something you do deliberately. This is not a burden for you to take on. It will all work out through Grace.
Below is a video with an example of how to effectively use inquiry in daily life.

Tip: Be careful not to inquire as a way to hide from facing things or as a procrastination. In the video below, Mooji addresses the importance of first accepting what appears before us.
Here is a short list of general questions for the inquiry. You don't need to use them all. Use whatever feels most natural, and look within for the answer. These are not mantras (chants).
As far as self inquiry is concerned, mind is useful only for exposing the false concepts of who we have believed ourselves to be. Using other concepts to remove identification, mind may go as far as pointing -- through the power of Grace -- to relative truths, yet it drops away/melts/is absorbed in the face of Absolute Truth; that which is beyond any concept the mind can hold. The Ultimate Truth is prior to any concept.
Eckhart Tolle writes in A New Earth:
"Words reduce reality to something the human mind can grasp, which isn't very much. Language consists of five basic sounds produced by the vocal cords. They are the vowels a, e, i, o, u. The other sounds are consonants produced by air pressure: s, f, g, and so forth. Do you believe some combination of such basic sounds could ever explain who you are, or the ultimate purpose of the universe, or even what a tree or stone is in its depth?"
"You were there before this alphabet, which is the foundation of the spoken word."
- Mooji
Continue your earnest looking, and you will see beyond all concepts. You'll discover Truth, Peace, Freedom, Bliss -- rather, that which those words point to.

- Who am I? You know that you are here, but as what do you exist?
- The body's state is never constant. Looks, senses, and abilities change. What observes all of this? Look for what does not change.
- If you find an observer/watcher, can that observer be seen? If so, who observes that one? Anything seen objectively can be observed. Keep looking.
